Melted Zinsco Circuit Breakers- Fire Hazard! Wenatchee Home Inspection services

If you have been around Real Estate or the electrical community you most likely have heard about Zinsco electrical panels and some of the inherent dangers with them.

I have an electrician friend, Israel Carrasco owner of Evolution Electric, bring by another fine example of why these panels and their associated circuit breakers need serious consideration if it is in your home or a home you are looking to purchase.

Any circuit breaker can have problems due to loose electrical connections. But Zinsco Circuit breakers have some inherent problems due to their design. Loose connections in electrical systems create resistance, and resistance creates heat.

Zinsco circuit breakers are also known for arcing and/or welding to the aluminum bus bar in the panel.

Remember electrical systems, like any other major component in your home, need to be evaluated periodically to ensure that they are in good and safe working condition.
